This is a time-limited tipping game, where tokens count as votes towards a series of two to three goal choices set by the broadcaster.

Settings:

At launch, the broadcaster is prompted for up to three different voting choices, how many minutes voting should last, and a minimum total tokens that must be tipped in order for the result of voting to be considered valid, in effect a goal.

If the goal has not been reached after voting ends, the broadcaster is notified privately of how many tokens they received, compared to their stated goal, and which, if any, of the voting choices finished top of the poll. It is then up to the broadcaster to decide whether or not they want to honor the missed goal.

Tokens count as individual votes and can only apply to one voting choice per tipper. So if a tipper selects a different voting choice part-way through a vote, all their accumulated token votes will be applied to their new choice.

Voting choice descriptions should be kept as brief as possible, and are limited to at most 32 characters each. However, ideally the combined length of all the descriptions should be less than 32 characters, so that they all fit into the space available for the broadcaster's room subject on the model front page, as the room subject will take the form voting_choice_1 | voting_choice_2 | voting_choice_3 @ Goal [Vote with tokens for your favorite], during the vote. That way the subject contents will hopefully attract as many visitors to a broadcaster's room as possible.

Optional Settings:

The third voting choice is optional.

Additionally, the broadcaster may choose to receive (private) extended app notices, which include:

• a note of which voting choice each tipper's tip takes,


• a note as soon as the minimum token goal (referred to as the turnout) has been reached, and


• a re-launch reminder when tips are received after the vote has ended.

Notes.

1. All private notices begin with the words "Notice: Tok'n Vot'n: Psst!" to distinguish them from public notices and those from other apps/bots.


2. There are no in-chat commands available for this app. To adjust its settings, access the start-up page by deactivating and re-launching it.


3. Underscore characters, _, are automatically substituted for any vertical bar characters, |, found in Voting Choices, as vertical bars are used to separate choices in the room subject.


4. Although the app can detect duplicate Voting Choices, case is significant. So Something is considered a different choice from something, even though they only differ in case, which could be confusing to tippers. It is down to broadcasters to ensure they don't enter confusing choices that only differ in case.


5. Although the maximum settable vote duration and turnout are 60 minutes and 5000 tokens, respectively, broadcasters may find it more effective to set shorter votes, of 5 to 10 minutes, with more modest goals of a few or several hundred tokens.
