This is a simple tip counting app with a rollover goal, modelled after Auto-Reset Tip Goal, with some added hocus-pocus to enable yellow walls of tip-notifications to be built without being interrupted by messages from non-contributors and/or in-chat subject/topic update messages.

In Detail:

At launch, the broadcaster is prompted to enter a token goal amount, a goal description[see Note 1, below], a wall timeout, and a starting point for the amount of tokens received, which defaults to zero.

A broadcaster might want to begin a token count from a non-zero starting point when a previous goal has been interrupted for whatever reason (like the site went down, or randomly disconnected them! Which never happens;)

The count of received tokens rolls over every time the goal is reached, and a count is kept of the number of times it has been met.[see Note 2, below]

While the app is running, receiving two tips in a row will start a yellow wall.

While in yellow wall mode, in-chat subject updates are suppressed (goal updates are shown in the app panel,) and only contributors to the wall and the broadcaster will be able to chat, effectively muting non-contributors.[see Note 3, below]

Once the wall is active, if another tip is not received within the current timeout period (default 10 seconds,) the wall ends, non-tippers are un-muted, and subject updates will resume in chat.

As well as the goal status, the app panel shows the King of the Wall, the tipper who has contributed the most tokens to the wall currently being built, and the Master Builder, the tipper who has made the greatest number of tips towards the wall's construction.

Note that the token goal is not tied to a particular wall, but may span any number of rounds of wall building.

In-chat commands[see Note 4, below] available to the broadcaster, except during an active wall session, to re-configure the app without their needing to restart it:

• /goal number - sets the goal to number tokens[see Note 2, below] (number > 0)


• /text string - sets the goal description to string (can't contain the / character)[see Notes 1 and 5, below]


• /timeout number - sets the wall timeout to number seconds (number >= 5, number <= 60, default 10)


• /reset [ number ] - resets the received tokens total, optionally to number tokens (default 0)

1. The words "Tip for" are automatically prepended to the goal description entered.


2. Changing the goal automatically resets the received tokens total, and the goals met count.


3. Fan/Moderator amnesty modes. At the broadcaster's discretion, using the in-chat commands /fans and /mods, which are available to the broadcaster at any time, chat from either non-tipping fans and, or non-tipping moderators, respectively, can be allowed or denied during a yellow wall, though the use of these modes does rather defeat the purpose of the yellow wall app, which it to restrict chat from non-contributors, during a yellow wall's lifespan. Note, however, that chat from non-tipping fans and mods can still prevent the initiation of a wall, even when the amnesty modes are in effect.


4. All in-chat commands may be prepended with yw to distinguish them from those of other apps/bots, for example use /ywtext something new to set the goal description to something new.


5. Forward-slash characters, /, used directly in chat are interpreted by the app as in-chat command qualifiers. So, if you want to include one or more of them in your goal description text, using the /text in-chat command, use their unicode escape sequence \u002f equivalent where needed, instead.
